writes:hello. i am 17 years old and i have a problem..every time me and my girl try to have sex, i can't seem to hold an erection...or sometimes even get it up.the other day i got it up, put on a condom and when i tried to put it in i lost my erection. i'm not gay, and don't have any psychical problems. however i don't have any problems getting an erection in any other occasion??i'm confused.plz help.thnx

reader, anonymous, writes (6 August 2007): hey listen a bigger condom wont work. its great that you are using protection. telling her to go on the pill does not always work she could forget to take it or it could be that .5% that she gets pregnant anways. Yes there are those chances because every thig is not always 100% I had the same problem i could get hard and keep it that way for a bit an hour or 2 but when a girl comes around me sometimes you just cant maintain so heres some thing to try it worked for me. you are cofertable when your alone so everything works well but when it comes to her being there you get nervous your saying go but other things arnt willing you might thnk you might suck at it or you just plain dought yourself.. dont!!! be confident and true and dont worry what might happen get comfertable with her and enjoy it your only 17 things only get better and when you do get comfertable you will find things work better

 If you can sustain an erection when you're not using a condom, then perhaps the issue is indeed a pyschological one, even if you're not aware of it. Or, you abused masturbation not so long ago, and now you have some sensitivity loss (which will go away).
