writes:I've been with my boyfriend around 2 months and was a virgin before I met him. We have a pretty decent sex life and are very happy together. Today, however, we attempted to do doggy-style, which I, obviously, have never done before. It was very painful and we gave up and did it missionary instead.After a while I went to bathroom and noticed blood when I wiped. After closer inspection I noticed I have a small tear on the bit of skin between my vagina and anus. I really don't know what to do, should I go to the doctors or will it heal on its own? I'm quite scared to use the bathroom as I'm assuming it will sting a fair amount. What should I do?

 Yes it will heal on its own so it really is nothing to worry about. Just make sure you keep the area as clean as you can. Yes it will be uncomfortable going to the toilet for a couple of days. However it won't take that long to heal. In future just tell him to try and be a little bit more gentle with you, but yes these things do happen and really besides a little bit of discomfort there really is nothing to worry about. Doggy style can take a while to get used to especially since you have only recently started having sex, so I would suggest leaving it for a while and trying out new things. Good luck.

A tear like that will heal naturally on its own. Just be very careful when you wipe, as there's a risk of infection. Otherwise there's nothing to worry about. Small tears like that are not uncommon, and can be prevented by using some lube.

ive had the same thing happen, ive never had any prolems with tears healing on their own and they tend to within a couple of days. You'll be fine, just try and use some lube next time
