writes:There is a guy in one of my classes that talks to me every day. he gives signals that he likes me so i asked him to a really important dance that only the school dance team goes to.he said yes but the next day he came up to me and said that he had a soccer turniment. he is treating me the same as usual but now im questioning if he likes me or if im just living in my own fantasy world. ive never had a boyfriend so therefore, i dont know how to know for sure if he does or doesnt.

 i doubt he is advioding since he did say yes the first time. But if you really like him why dont you ask him if you can cheer him on at the football(soccer) game. He will like that.

 It's really hard to tell based on just the one situation that you have described. I would say that it's not great that he reneg'd on the invite, so if I were you I'd check on the soccer schedule for the school team (or whatever team he is on) to see if he is telling the truth or not. Just ask him about the tournament, he'll be pleased to talk about it with you and happy that you are showing interest!
It's a good thing that his behavior hasn't changed at all, if he was not truthful he might be trying to avoid you. If he is still giving you signals, then give him some signals back! It does sound like he likes you and that he just simply forgot about a scheduled game, but it never hurts to be a bit inquisitive and nosey!
