writes:I've known this guy since i was 17, we met in a club and kissed, he's ten years older than me but neither of us knew until the next day. In the next 6 months we bumped into eachother a couple of times during social events/parties and became good friends, though we only seen eachother when drunk. I live in a city about 70 miles away so its rare we see eachother, it's been around 18 months since we met and the last 4 months he's been making an effort to see me when in town and we've ended up sleeping with eachother a couple of times, i'm really liking this guy and i'm wondering if he only wants a friend with benefits? we are great friends and can talk about anything, he always wants me to stay longer on the mornings (not for sex) and is really sweet. However when i'm not in town we only speak once every few weeks. Does he have feelings for me or am i more of a booty call?

reader, anonymous, writes (21 March 2011): you've totally just made me realise something, it's me who visits that town, not specifically for him as i grew up there, but he has never once visited me! just empty promises that he will 'soon'. thanks for the advice :)

You sound like you're quite "available" every time this guy comes to town. And, being 10 years older than you means he has more experience in the dating world! This guy may like you, but the distance between you makes an on-going relationship almost impossible. I think you are missing out on a lot of day-to-day interaction with him So, I suggest trying to find a guy closer to home.
