Do you think I can have sex in the future, with my problem right now?

Question - (16 April 2009) 5 Answers - (Newest, 16 April 2009)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I was wondering if I had a problem. I try to use tampons instead of pads, but I can't seem to fit them in. I have a light flow for about 4 days, every 5 weeks.

I thought that may be the problem, but I'm not sure. All of my friends use tampons and I feel inadequate. I think I have a small vagina.

Would that be a problem when having sex? Can I even have sex? I'm fraking out because I would like to have sex someday. I just don't want it to hurt really bad. Can some women just not wear tampons? Is that a common problem?

Plese help me, I'm desperate!

most of my friends use them but some don't it dosen't really matter.

and about the sex part, you could still have sex but it would proberly hurt. have you ever been fingered before? if you do this regualry it could help you to loosen up a little which would make sex more comfortable.

PeanutButter agony auntI refuse to use tampons, they are uncomfortable and tricky little buggers. I have a very light flow for 3 dys every 28 days and the stress of tampons are just not worth the hassle - i've never had a problem with sex though and neither should you though - you're build to have babies! :)

If you give it a few more tries, while your flow is good and your body is relaxed and you still cant used them or feel uncomfortable and are still worried, a check up with your gyno can put your mind at ese tht there is nothing wrong.

Some people just have more difficulty than others.

it could be coz you are thinking too much about it.. take a few breaths and relax otherwise you'll tense up and you wont be able to get it in. most people find it easier to insert by standing up with one leg resting on the side of the bath. if your periods are light make sure you use a light absorbency.. and never use until you are actually on your period
