writes:I have been seeing this guy for about 8 months now. However , he already has a live in girlfriend and daughter. I just found out I am pregnant. I have to tell him today. I know he's not going to leave her , That's fine . Do you think he will help take care of this child? He does his other two kids. How should I approach him with this? Please Help.  Just tell him you are pregnant and all you want from him is to provide for his child, thats all you can do.
Then let him decide what he is going to do and go from there, until you know his responce there is not alot you can do.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 August 2007): It's too hard for us to say that he will help you with your child without knowing anything about him except that he is cheating on a live in g.f. by being with you. If he refuses to help, you'll have to get a court ordered paternity test after the baby's born & the courts will make him pay you child support if it's proven he is the father. But a better question here is why would you be in a relationship with a man who already has a girlfriend? Why are you saying this situation is fine? It isn't fine at all. What about your child? Maybe you should have thought about the child before you had unprotected sex with this guy. He's obviously not a good person. I feel bad for your baby.
