writes:i know everybody has different opinions, but what do guys typically look for in a girl? Do some guys like girls that are shy and nervous around them?(like me!) or do they prefer an out going girl that always can start a conversation. Cuz I really become friends with this boy I really like but i have no clue how to talk to him, if i think about it, people wouldn't expect us to be friends, like it's just not normal. i don't know to explain it. I just want him to like me, and i don't how to get him to. Maybe he's just not into me. but i do think we have one thing in common and that's that we're both really not observant, so maybe he just doesn't see that i really like him. Some advice would really be appreciated.

reader, anonymous, writes (24 September 2008): well i had the same probblem trust me! and its really anoying i was totally in love with this guy and i liked him so much that i couldn't be arount him becoz i was really shy around him. and did not no wat to say. but you just have to put your chin up and be brave and talk to them. and yes guys like girls when ther being shy around them. wen your shy they become shy

reader, anonymous, writes (22 September 2008): listen hun, as a guy whos much older than you and who was once a teenage boy (and quite a stupid one at that) I can tell you this; he might like you but he's probably too nervous to say anything if he is. Next time you talk to him, try subtle things like touching his hands or shoulder (in a gentle caring and natural way, as if yer brushing some dirt off him) and see whats his reaction. If its one that's nervous and he starts blushing and has trouble talking, or if he gives you a nice look and a smile then yer in there. If hes kinda cold and pulls away from you quickly without seeming nervous, well he might not like you. Dont go grabbin his ass or anythin like that though, he'd know you liked him but for the wrong reasons! Hope that helps.
