Question - (22 January 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 23 January 2009)
A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have been reading a book in order to help me with my confused mind. I am currently with my man of 4 years, he does everything right, and everyone around us thinks we are very happy together. I am however constantly thinking about another man, and my gut is telling me to try things out with this other man. My head however is telling me to stay with my man, as it is the sensible thing to do, all is happy and right, and that is the way things should be. My question being... When do you go with your Gut feeling? Should i go with my head or my gut? AAAHH!!

PunkyPippi agony auntIt's been 4 years, and you've hit what I call "shit or get off the pot" territory. Just because there aren't problems doesn't mean that the relationship is good. If you're having strong feelings for another man, you're obviously not satisfied in some way shape or form.

Anyways, people thinking you're happy is not a telltale sign either. People in general are idiots, and they only see what they want to see.

Do you love your man? Do you want to be with him for the rest of your life? If not, break up and move on. Explore your life and your options before you get tied down.
