reader, anonymous, writes (30 March 2008): Well, you aren't 'small', just on the small end of the curve for average. Most (about 80%) of guys are 5 - 6 " erect. You are totally within the average range. Unless you hook up with a size queen (male or female), you are completely fine for the job. Focus on technique, and don't worry one bit about your size. You're the same as 80 out of every 100 guys out there.

 No, you are not small, you are average or maybe a quarter of an inch less than average. There are a lot of women who would rather have sex with a guy who is 5 inches than a guy who is 7 inches, my wife included. Anything much over 6 inches causes pain for a lot of women in some positions. Note that the Lifestyles condoms study was voluntary and notice that there is a sharp dropoff below 5 inches. It has been assumed that is because very few men shorter than 5 inches volunteered to be measured. That means that the actual average would be less than the published 5.9 inches.
Just learn how to be good at foreplay and oral and how to be gentle and caring and that will be far more important than how long you are. You will not have a problem satisfying most women at 5 inches.
