A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Dear aunts,

I begin by admitting am at a point in my life when I feel I need a man not just for company but for sex as well. But ave never dated really so am not experienced. So there is this guy who is my friend. We flirt a lot, well he initiates it and I play along for the sake of keeping around him. He is really cool, and my type. Recently we have been flirting a lot on fb, n I enjoy his rather high esteem, but he is also arrogant. He always insinuates that I like him and I keep denying. He has even said it to his friends but I have never done anything crazy.Currently, he is sick, and I helped him run some tests at the lab I work. He also paid for my lunch that day, and we have kept in touch almost on 3-hourly basis. My question is, do you think he could be beginning to like me? Do I have a chance at all? Thanks.

So_Very_Confused agony auntwell you like him so why deny it?

I went from a man with NO self esteem to a man who is grossly arrogant about himself... I much prefer an arrogant self-assured man to a wimpy man who needs me to stroke his ego like his mommy....

sounds like if you quit pushing him away by denying your feelings you won't ever know.

LIFE is about RISKS

take one.

Aunty Susie agony auntGo for it. If it doesn't work out, just laugh it off, you will recover. If it does work out, great. But you won't know unless you to a chance. That is what life is all about. I think that you are definitely in with a chance. Good luck. xx
