 my bf WAS fully shaved. I hated it so I have gotten him to grow it back...
if it's long then trimmed is very nice...
if there are hairs that grow up the shaft, shaving those are considerate for oral activities.
my vote.... trimmed only

 I think either gender shaving off all their pubic hair is bad since it's tedious, sometimes painful, grows back in an awkward way, and doesn't do much except make you look like you're 10.

reader, anonymous, writes (26 June 2011): i Tried waxing my balls the other day. Hurt like hell but there so smooth! Plus that way you dont need to worry about stubble when it starts to grow! The rest i just trim so its tidy. I dont shave. Gf appears to like it.

To your question, not all guys shave their pubic hair. having a clean shave makes your penis looks a bit longer (its an illusion) i think thats why people shave theirs? In my opinion, trimming is better, because after a week or 2 after fully shaved, the pubic hair will start to grow again and it's really itchy and uncomfortable.

I myself shave only the testicles and around the area where the testes meet leg. And only because I have some problems with chafing otherwise and this pretty much eliminates it.
But you gotta have some pubic hair there. I mean having pubic hair is manly. Elsewise you just look like you are trying to run away from the fact you are getting older.
So long as the areas, like the shaft and a few millimetres above it, are kept neat and tidy and hair-free, you should have no complaints from ladies when you get into that stuff.
