Did she blow me off or was she being genuine?

Question - (11 January 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 11 January 2011)
A male Canada age 41-50, anonymous writes:

So I went on three dates with this girl. She seemed to be genuinely interested in me. On our last date she wrapped her arm around mine and she let me put my arm around her. She seemed a bit shy.

Anyways she was supposed to come over to my place for the first time this weekend to watch a movie. She asked if she could bring a friend. I figured she just didn't feel quite comfortable yet as we met off the internet which is completely understandable.

The next day she texts me apoplogizing for wasting my time and said that she still has feelings for her ex. I figured this was just another way of saying "I'm not interested". Which is kinda weird because she would call me or ask me to make plans.

So did she just blow me off or was she being genuine?

i think she may have made plans with you but then decided for whatever reason that she did not want to be with you. she may be truthful in what she says about still having feeling for he ex or she may have thought it was kinder than telling you the real reason for her change of heart. either way, the outcome is the same in that she is not going to see you again, so honestly i wouldn't get too hung up on trying to analyse it, coz your never gonna know. just move on and good luck with the dating :)

xx
