DeadEyeDick agony auntI think generally if someone has an obsession, they wouldnt have the presence of mind to know they were obsessed! so it's probably a crush!

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (11 January 2010):

You can get over a crush... obsession means you end up doing stupid things that impact the rest of your life because of it.

This of it like addiction. Are you a regular drinker, but could happily have a few weeks on a desert island with nothing but orange juice? Or would you build a raft and do stupid things to get back to a grubby bar to have a beer?

Good Luck!! xx
