writes:Hi there, i really need some help. Ever since the age of 12 i have been download porn off the internet, its been 6 years now and i still keep doing it.. It is a complete waste of money! I really dont want to watch at all, it does not even do much for me... How can i stop downloading porn? And secondly could there be a reason why i keep going back, even if i have tired stopping?

reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2009): You can't stop because it is addictive. All addicts no matter to what they are addicted will feel the same way. They don't really enjoy doing the particular stuff anymore but they cant stop. But why do you need to spend money? There are plenty of sites giving away stuff for free. Torrent sites have pretty much anything for free, but the risk of viruses is there. I wouldnt be worrying too much if this doesnt interfere with my normal functioning. If it does, try to divert your mind from it little by little. It should work. Good luck :)

 I think you have become addicted to porn if it is getting to you and you really want to stop, Google porn addiction and read up on all the advice you will get from there and try to incorporate it into your life, get porn blockers for your PC and make sure you have rid yourself of any videos, etc: in the house you need to go cold turkey for a while i would also look up to see if there is any sex addiction meetings in your area or if any of the local clinics run any kind of meetings for this sort of thing.
It sounds like it is taking over your life and if you do not seek help now in another 6 yrs you will still be doing it best of luck in your recovery.

 I don't think porn is that big of a deal. I wouldn't spend your money on it though, you can find it for free all over the place! If it's really bothering you or preventing you from having a social life, cut it out for a while. If everything's fine aside from that and it's just that you like porn... well... enjoy!
