A age 30-35, anonymous writes:

what can cause growth to stop earlier than it is supposed to. im not going threw this but my dad did, he stopped at 16 and he was 5'9 he also smoked cigarettes, does really cause this. Just curious, i also heard that 2 much soda can cause an early stop in growth. is this also true.

well i drink a lot of milk, but is less than a can every other day to much soda

Yes it can!

For some reason it affects girls alot more than guys. Your still a young age so your lungs have not yet fully grown. Smonking will halt this process. It stunts growth in muscles also.

For guys smocking will also stop growth in the crotch region also.

Stay off the fags man

In my 3 years of studying the subject of human growth, iv found, cigarettes can actually cause a slight growth defect, nothing major, iv never heard the soda one tho.

thatgothgirl20 agony auntYes, the cigarette thing is true, and so is the soda thing, because of the caffeine. Just try to avoid sodas with caffeine. My husband now drinks caffeine free coke.
