Quick question: can you use ordinary lube with polyurethane condoms? As in non-latex ones? Because all the lubes I've seen have "suitable for use with latex condoms" (or words to that effect) written on the back. Does that mean there different lubes for non-latex condoms then? Thanks a lot to anyone who can enlighten me on this!

Miamine agony auntContact the family planning department at your nearest NHS clinic. They are the experts on all questions to do with contraception, and you may be able to get condoms and lubricants there for free. You will be able to speak to a nurse or doctor over the phone if the clinic is running a session at that time, or they will put you through to a bigger department.

They even have specialist contraceptive advice for young people under 21. Don't by shy, they love young people who have questions.

if you are using polyurethane condoms and sexual lube then you should be fine. I prefer a silcone based lube to a water based lube.
