reader, anonymous, writes (24 July 2006): Both of them can be just as important. If either one of them have to make u choose, then they aren't really good friends/lovers in the first place. A good friend will not support you blindly, but at the very least, support you as if you are his/her sister. A good lover will again, not support you blindly, but at the very least, support you as if you are his (or her) future wife.
I suggest you sit down with them, one-on-one, and explain that to them. Tell them you will choose both.
