A reader, anonymous, writes (27 February 2009):

If I find pictures of my girlfriend and another man together in her brief case while she is near me, I would say, "Is that a Burberry scarf he's wearing? That's really comfortable. I saw one the other day in brown and considered buying one for you and I."

Other than that, I'll make a mental note and leave it alone. I might not even bring it up.

However, as Ms. Jessica has mentioned, you can nicely bring it up with him. Just don't go and accuse him of anything right off the bat. As said, depending on how he answers it, you will have an idea what might really be going on there.

jessica04 agony auntI would confront him nicely about what you found. His brief case was open, you were not snooping. His reaction can also help you determine whether you are right to be suspicious. If he blames you for snooping and redirects tries to blame this on you, then you have your answer.

You have every interest to protect your heart and know the truth. Don't accept less.
