Sometimes medicines can react badly with each other, or it might even stop your birthcontrol from working-your doctor can tell you about the risks ONLY if he knows what pills you are taking

Why wouldn't you tell your doctor you were on birth control? They need to know EVERY medication you are taking. It's not as though they will tell your parents. They even know about NSAID pain relievers (ibuprofen, aspirin, etc...). You should not keep secrets from your doctor.

reader, anonymous, writes (5 November 2011): There is a link between the pill and some cancers but that is often because women on the pill are checked more regularly and so it is spotted sooner. I would tell your doctor and ask them thier opinion because they are the only person who would know. Hope you are better soon x
