So im dating a guy... its been about 6 months now and we have been through a lot of drama, breaking up and him making mistakes and hurting me A LOT, breaking promises. And yet i cant seem to let him and the feelings i have for him go.. sadly i almost think its karma. i was never the best girlfriend but i've been nothing but good to this one.. i dont know what to do any more, i love him but a girl can only take so much pain... any ideas on how to really let him and the feelings go? Cause he wont leave me even if i hurt alot.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (28 August 2010):

Why would you want to stay with this guy that has caused you so much hurt and pain? He's not going to change, no matter how much you want him to or how much you think you love him. If you stay with him, think how terrible you're always going to feel and how much you're going to go through-all for no reason. Wouldn't you rather find someone else that will be good to you? Because he really is out there. You're just starting out in life and have so much ahead of you; don't waste all that on this jerk.

Imagine this relationship in 5 years... you're older, mentally beaten down, zero self respect, drinking too much, in debt up to your eyeballs, overweight... and with ZERO options (or so you think)...

This "relationship" is headed no where good. Take the pain, get over it, and find a better life ASAP.
