A male Russian Federation age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I liked this girl, a little while ago, but then something happened. I always tried to be nice to her, I was considering making her my girlfriend. I always invited her out, bought her drinks on the occasions she showed up (most times she would make an excuse and not show), etc. Then one time we were out at a bar with some friends and a nice song came on, I asked her to dance, grabbed her hand, and she pulled it away, I playfully asked her again , joked that I'll get upset. I didn't hurt me that she pulled away , she's kind of moody at times, what upset me is her answer to my "come on ... let's dance a little, it's a nice song (November rain), you're making me sad" ... which was "whatever". Damn , I call her, ask her to join me whenever I go out on the town, buy her whatever drink she wants (non-alcoholic cocktails is what she wanted that night, as she was driving) and I get a "whatever" when I invited her to dance (I was expecting a cute excuse why she doesn't want to dance). Is it just me or is that answer ... not very kind. Anyway since then I have ignored her completely. Heard from some friends that she has started to call me "weird" . Hmm.. Who's the weird one? Me for not wanting anything to do with her, or her because she doesn't even realize what she did to upset me?

I guess another question is: is me giving her the cold shoulder from now on the right way to deal with her?

You still like her and wants more then she's offering. Drop the hope of being with her. I would only look at this as a friendship and quit being for her. No matter what you spend on her she' owe you nothing in return.
