Dear Cupid,

I want to know what this feeling is: I met a boy when i was 10 and for the last 9 years we've been best friends.

In the past couple of years, i've found being around him different. We act the same around each other but i get a feeling that makes me really think. It doesn't feel like a crush with 'butterflies' in your stomach. I have liked guys in the past few years since the feeling has changed but i can only picture my future with him and none of the guys i've had a crush on.

Are we just really close or is it love?

Could be either or to be honest.

If you don't find him attractive though, and don't have a bit of a "crush" on him then it's not going to work.

There needs to be the butterflies / crush side AND the best friend side for it to be love.

It sounds like you may just be really really close with him. Make sure you aren't leading him on with him secretly lusting after you.

Male friends are excellent to have around.

Good Luck!! xx
