So here it goes, my aunty's mom was married to my aunty's husband, and she has a kid from my aunty's husband, and the kid wants to ask me out, but im afraid that he is my cousin.Does that make him my cousin? Because we are really attracted to each other, but we dont know if we are cousins. So please, anyone answer!!

 erm ....i think then that this guy could be your cousin! have you asked your mum or auntie or any one about this?
you dont have to tell them why , just tell them your doing a family tree or somthing like that.
but ,depending on the laws in your country, even if you are cousins , you could still make a go of it , try it secretly at first ,and if after a while all is well , then think about telling relatives and friends?
i know its not right to lie and keep things from people, but in this kind of situation, i guess its not such a bad thing , as it all depends on peoples reactions,
so if you told people and it cause all kinds of family problems and you guys got together and a few weeks later it didnt work out, it would of caused problems for nothing, but if you keep it quiet until your serious about each other then maybe they might see it as the real thing and not just a silly crush .....
either way you have to be careful and put a lot of thought in to what you do as it will affect a lot more people than just yourselves ! x hope this helps ....let me know how you get on sweetie xx

but your aunties mum is, so i think, im not tottaly sure, but i think you would be 2nd or maybe 3rd cousins,
as its not a direct blood link as a normal cousin , i dont think there would be much problem to you dating ,i dont want this to sound bad on your auntie or her mum, but if you are cousins and you do decide to date, i dont think your aunties mum could say much to it?!
