writes:me and my guy best friend are really really close. when we started the new school year he used to find me in the halls and talk to me and always wanted to hug me. when i would see him in his class he would always wave and smile at me. recently whenhe would see me in the halls he would act like he didnt and start talking to someone else. also when i see him in his class room he would just stare at me and not even do anything. i also had two dreams that he liked me. are these signs that he likes me or just doesnt want to be my friend at all?

 CaringGuy is right. I think he might fancy you. He probably doesn't know how to behave around you as he's used to being good friends with you. So it's easier for him to ignore you. He might feel a bit embarrassed if he had to face you.
Like CaringGuy said, talk to him and see how it goes.

It might be that he fancies you and is now very shy and confused about it all and how he feels. Sounds like you really like him too, so maybe just try talking to him and say you've noticed you've been drifting apart a bit. Hopefully he'll open up a bit.
