Any thoughts as to why I had this dream or what it could possibly mean??

Ok so I had a really weird dream so anyone who can give me any thoughts on what it could mean would be great. Ok so a little backround on the person in my dream. I had a fwb for about 3 years on and off that just recently ended. Well he told me a while back his dad his grandpa and his brother died. So I recently asked how but he didn't want to talk about it which I understood completly. Well once when we were out I heard him say somthing about seeing his dad like in person seeing. So I thought I over heard wrong. But then he has a brother that's alive but he never said anything about him before. As far as I knew he only had the one that passed away and a sister whom I've met. Well anyways back to the dream in my dream I was in this big bright house and his dad comes in. And I have never seen a pic of him but I could describe him to a t. He had a gray scruffy face rounder shaped good head of hair hazel eyes med build and a little taller then I. In my dream he came up to me and said somthing. As I could remember he said he was still here and he huged me. Then he told me he had to go waved goodbye and walked out. Most vivid dream I've ever had that I fully remembered. And it kinda scared me cause I got this. Vibe in my dream that he was trying to tell me that my fwb which would be his son was bad and he was trying to warn me. I don't talk to him anymore so I haven't told him about my dream of his father whom he says has passed away. Any thoughts as to why I had this dream or what it could possibly mean??
