Question - (24 December 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 26 December 2008)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

my boyfriend just recently went on a cruise with his family. while he was on the cruise he met a girl that he was interested in and spent some time with while he was there. she gave him her phone number and e-mail and i found out about it when he got back. he told me that he was confused and needed to figure things out. now he said he loves me and wants to be with me and wants to remain friends with her. she lives in far away. should i be concerned? should i carry on our relationship or should i just stop it until he chooses me completely? or should i just play it by ear and see how everything goes?

krowto agony auntthank you both for replying. i've had both thoughts go through my mind. i have been playing it by ear and he has been apologizing. he feels really bad and wants to make it up to me. i still worry because i don't know that he loves me as much as i love him. we've been together for almost 3 years...it'll be 3 years in august of 2009. i know i love him and that i want to be with him. but i dont' know that he feels the same. i hope that we'll get married some day but once again i don't know if he feels that way too. i dont' want to keep in the relationship if it's not going to go anywhere because the longer i stay the more i'll get hurt when it's over.
