An old friend is back in town and I'm feeling something for him, but I'm in a relationship. Is this infatuation or something more?

Hi there, this is my first time writing here- and this has been bothering me for a while.

I have been living with my boyfriend for quite a long time, but for the past three months, an old friend of ours began to spend time with us again because he is back in town. I begin to feel a sense of longing to be with him. I am not sure if this is just a small infatuation or do I have feelings for him? I've been having dreams of just kissing him and nothing more and it just feels wonderful.

But I know deep in my heart I love the man I've been with for a good part of my life.

To clarify; this old friend of ours he and I have been together before.

Is this just a small puppy-crush and will it go away?

Sageoldguy1465 agony auntLet's focus on the REAL "guts of your question... which are contained in THIS phrase: "..I've been having dreams of just kissing him and nothing more and it just feels wonderful...."

Hine (from a guy who has been there, MANY times!!!).... There is no such thing as "... just kissing him and nothing more ...." It ALWAYS goes to "something more..."

Good luck.....

I think it could be that you've missed him and are glad he's back around, but you're reading too much into this which is leading you to think about him more than you should, causing these dreams to happen.
