I don't think it's a bad age gap at all. If the situation were reversed and HE was 26 and YOU were 22, nobody would think anything of it.
Not a big deal. As long as both of you are on the same page, I think you two will be fine to be dating.

 There isnt much of an age difference in this case so theres nothing to worry about there. Dont worry about what people have to say. You both are interested in eachother and thats all that seems to matter. There will always be people in our lives that will criticize the things we do but you have to be your own person and set aside the negative things people say. Do what your heart tells you to do! Be with this guy if your heart truly desires it. Dont worry about what anyone says.
