stina agony auntHi there anonymous,

You should really visit an orthopedic surgeon. The doctor will proably take some x-rays to determine the severity of your injury. If it's ripped cartilage, then you will probably have to have arthroscopic surgery (they'll poke two holes on either side of your knee - one of a tiny camera and another for a revolving razor.) The procedure really doesn't take too long, and it's a heck of a lot better for you than running around with torn cartilage in your knee.

But perhaps you don't even need surgery. You may just need to wear a brace and try to keep pressure off of your leg until any injuries are healed.

I'm not an expert, though. So check with an orthopedic surgeron - they're the doctors that deal with these sorts of problems all the time.

Take care.

Simple - go and see your doctor. That's what he's there for.
