Okay, I'm a 17 year old girl and I have a 25 year old boyfriend. We slept together and I really want to know how he could end up being charged for statutory rape. What kind of evidence do they need to support that crime. Could he get into trouble if my mom found out and told the police?

As bad as this ound I got pregnant by a 25 year old man when I was 15. He forced me to get an abortion then left me @ the clinic. I hated him so much that I wanted to get him arrested. I didn't know he was that old originally he told me he was 19. I never had the guts to go through with it though especially cause he had a 6 year old son, but I recently found out that he's in prison but I don't know why. Perhaps some girl got to him before I did. Basically he's too old for you in my opinion you're old ebough legally to have sex but I still don't trust these old guys out here anymore. So be careful.

MissKin agony auntThere's some good information on the following website -

http://www.parentalalert.com/

but i've not looked thru it all.

Basically, the way i was told about it - if you're below the age of consent for where you live (here it is sixteen) and have sex with someone over the age of consent - it is considered rape because you are not at the legal age to make the proper informed consent to have sex (the site explains this better). I was also told that if your parents suspect statutory rape and at the time you are still below the legal age limit and dating someone above the limit - they can 'check your virginity' by giving you a vaginal examination.

I'm not sure if this is true, or just what my scary aunty told me but anyway. I'd just take a look at this site, it's a US one, so it'll be relevant to you. hope it helps.

In most cases, you are the one that would have to press charges, or at least acknowledge that it happened and your parents are the ones who press charges when your a minor.

It depends upon which state you live in and the laws there. Each state is different.
