A female reader, anonymous, writes (19 January 2009):

This can result in pregnancy, but not always. It it a good idea to use protection, especially since you are so young. You should consult a doctor or a trusted adult, and maybe let someone in your family know that you are sexually active. You should be more careful and use a condom. Also, you may want to wait before you have sex again. Is it something you want to do? You should also get some sort of a test, just to be sure. Good luck!

A female reader, Tisha-1 United States +, writes (19 January 2009):

Tisha-1 agony auntThe NHS run a helpline that you can call with this kind of concern:

Talk to NHS Direct on 0845 4647

Textphone users can call 0845 606 4647

NHS Direct operates a 24-hour health advice and information service, providing confidential information on:

What to do if you or your family feel ill,

Health conditions and treatments,

Local healthcare services,

Self-help and support organisations.

There's also a website you can visit as well:

http://www.nhs.uk/NHSDirect/Pages/nhsdlanding.aspx

Another aunt suggested that you talk with an older sister, or perhaps an aunt? I don't know your family, but I'm sure your mum loves you very much and wouldn't want to see you hurt or in trouble. She may be upset at first, but then I hope she would be able to calm down and help her girl.

Take care.

A reader, anonymous, writes (19 January 2009):

ok.. you dont have to panic..

next time you have sex you should always use a condom no matter what the guy say..im a 14 year old guy and im still a virgin..so i thing you should've waited for sex alittle longer..or atleast till when your 16..you could get pregnant or a deadly std.. im not trying to scare you

but i'd talk to an older brother or sister, or a family member around 17-24 yrs old that you can trust about...so he/she could take you to a clinic to get tested juss to make sure you didn't catch anything

-hope ive helped...be careful and good luck

you should have been more carefull, i have made the same mistake once, but wasnt as young. i was lucky, but its so easy to become pregnant if you dont use protection! go to your clinic as soon as possible, or get a test. your clinic is probably confidential, and wont tell your parents if you dont want them to, but you really need to get checked out. next time use protection. all the best for you x
