writes:i have a problem. i have this yeast infection that wont go away and it driving me crazy. i have been to the doctor several times about it but none of the medications worked!this is crushing my sex life. i told my boyfriend about this. we still have sex but we use a condom. however, sex is more painful and i just feel so self conscious and it causes me to not enjoy sex. what can i do???????? please help me

reader, anonymous, writes (26 March 2009): Annalisa made some great points for you to consider. A lot can cause a yeast infection. I use to get yeast infections a lot till i realized it was b/c i needed more lubrication so we started using KY Jelly and all good from then on! So definitely try to figure out the cause. If your using condoms, spermicide on condoms has been linked to yeast infections. Anyway, I know something you can try to fix it since nothing else is working. If you have been to the doctor and they for sure have diagnosed you with a yeast infection....then try regular plain yogurt. I'm not lying that works! It has to be plain white yogurt though and in the ingredients it will say live cultures! Yogurt contains lactobacillus acidophilus, a beneficial organism, that helps keep candida and other yeasts in check. Put the yogurt on the infection area every day. If you want better tips for applying it, google it, lots of women use it for yeast infections!

reader, anonymous, writes (26 March 2009): I don't know if this would be an option for you, but you could try a yeast regulating diet for a while to put your body back into balance. This means avoiding sugar, yeast, wheat, carbs for however long it takes to clear it up. I did it and it worked. I used to suffer a lot from yeast infections.
