Will this long distance, complex relationship work?

Will this work?

They've been dating for 1 month, she moved away for school and will be back at christmas but they will spend 4 months apart at a time. She never met his family or friends yet. He cheated on her a week after she left but he sent her flowers for her birthday, and presents in the mail. He will never tell her he cheated on her, or maybe he doesnt even consider "dry sex" cheating. Either way, she doesnt know he did this but instead, is so caught up in all the attention he gives her so she wont break it off.

In your honest opinion, will it work out?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (1 October 2008):

I think as soon as the word *cheating* comes into it, it can't work. A long distance relationship is completely based on trust, and once that trust is broken, its really hard to be able to get it back again.

Even if she doesn't know, he might do it again, and if not, maybe it will workout, aslong as they both are faithful, keep contact and trust eachother completely
