A age 22-25, * writes:

hey cupids, i'm having a terrible time with 3 of my best friends, and i need your help. so i've got 3 best friends at school, let's call them, bron, chlo, and harl. recently, )two months ago,) chlo became friends with this guy, let's call him dan. but, she's now obsessed with him. it's always dan this, and dan that, it's so annoying. but, she's really getting, me bron and harl down because she ignores us when she's with dan, and she's only sometimes nice to us when he's not around. she's still mean though even when he's not around. the other day in english, she told me and bron that she likes dan more than us. i found this hurtful, because she's known us longer, and we were there to fix her when she'd suffered something terrible. i know you're already thinking that i'm an inconsiderate fucking bitch, but please, read me out. we tried to talk to her about our feelings, mostly about the things she'd say, but akl she says is, "it's my life, i can do what i want and say what i want." when she has an argument with dan, she hangs out with us. i just feel really used. also, she's got this thing of thinking that she's incharged of our friendship group, when really, there shouldn't have to be anyone incharge of any friendship group. well not the ones i'm part of anyway. she thinks she's more worth-while than us, by some things she says, and she thinks she's prettier too, because she says things like, "you've got so many spots. if you look at me, i've got none." that's when she makes me feel worthless. i'm writing today because, today her and harl got in to a fight. it started at lunch. bron was doing homework inside, and harl and i were on the field. then, chlo came. guess who sh was with! yep, you've guessed right! so chlo starts showing off, and we stand there and take it. i don't know about aharl, but the only reason i stayed quiet was because i wanted to enjoy my break without any drama. but then, harl took chlo a side and asked her why she ditched her in it. chlo got upset, and they sarted swearing at each other. when they wer calling each other bitches, i got in between them, and saij,

"you're both being bitches! just look at the way you're acting."

"she's right." dan had agreed with me. chlo then walked away, and dan followed. the rest of the day was miserable. so a few questions here:

a. why is chlo acting like this?

b. is it her, or us?

c. has our friendship already broken? and d. if it hasn't broken, how do i end the fights? i'm sorry it's long. i was trying to give as much detail. thanks for reading!

You can't end the fights. The sad things is, when you're young, many girls (and sometimes guys) get all selfish and arrogant when they fancy someone which causes them to obsess over the crush and ignore or be nasty to their true friends. In this situation, if you can't ignore it, is just to tell her that you want to be her friend but not if she's mean to you - then walk off and go somewhere else, even if it means leaving your other friends with her; that's their choice to stay.
