There is a polite way to "spit" and make the guy feel loved.. Spit out on his back or somewhere else on his body, rub it in, and then kiss the spot.

You need to develop a relationship with your partners (may this one's not the right one) where you can freely discuss what turns you on, and what doesn't. Both partners need to work to provide the other one pleasure and make an effort to engage is activities FOR EACH OTHER, so long as there is no pain or humiliation involved. A woman learning to take her partners load in her mouth is not beyond these limits, assuming that he's in good health and that his ejaculate doesn't taste horrible. After he's come, she has control as to what she does with it. My first GF in college was great at this, and our sex life was great... and she never swallowed.

For some guys it's a domination thing.
For many of us, the orgasm feels so much better when there's the right kind of firm but gentle grip around the penis during ejaculation.
