writes: Why do people have a problem with single humans? Everytime I turn around I have a well meaning friend, or relative trying to ram some girl in my face. Meet so and so, come to this party, talk to her. It's absolutley insane!!! I have no interest in entering into a relationship ever again, but everybody seems to want me to. It's foolish, it's to the point where sometimes I pretend I have a girlfriend, and tell people I do just so I don't have to go through the awkwardness. What if I castrate myself and hang my pickled nuts around my neck, then people would get the picture? Reply to this Question

 Why do you care so much about what people say ?
It's the same as when they ask you " Did you join a gym... " or " Did you quit smoking... " or whatever. Answer " Not yet " and change subject.
Appreciate they mean well, and do what you please anyway.

I'm afraid most people are of the notion, that if a person is not in a relationship, they are somehow missing out, not complete, and nearly all of us are encouraged from the cradle to seek our ' other-half' our mate, to walk off into the sunset, to capture the fairy tale, well that all well and good, if that is what YOU feel, if not, and one gets coaxed into it, or damn right 'pushed' as in your case, it would fail anyway. Just brush it off, you will enter into a relationship if and when you want, although I do note, you say " I have no interest in entering into a relationship ever again," AGAIN? So is this decision formed upon a relationship ending badly for you, where you may not be fully over it, and therefore friends and family are attempting to help you open up again..just a thought!
If not because of any 'emotional rejection or hurt' then being single until you've learnt all you can about you, and experienced life, so if you do enter into a relationship at some point in the future, you have a lot to bring to it!
Enjoy your single life..just don't become cynical, love is a wonderful emotion to experience.
