My hubby laughs about it-but we're curious why these discharges should start to happen so relatively "late" in our sex life.

Some couples get more intimate as time goes, you've been through life together! Our bodies change, too, it could be a hormonal thing, causing you to be more aroused. It's possibly down to the fact that you can enjoy sex now, without worrying about getting pregnant, family stress, etc.
Enjoy!
God bless you both!
