The women that are here are all, well, corupt (that means averaging about 9-10 partners per month) and I want nothing to do with that (gross).So, I live in New York City, but I'm a country boy. Everybody says to go to clubs, but I'm not realy interested in women that you usually see grinding it out on the dance floor.Where can I, a really normal guy, meet someone of outstanding character in a most abnormal city. Some people may think this is weird but you could look online. On yahoo personals, or myspace ( you can put a personal ad there too). Im sure your not the only country person up there. You could find someone tlk online for a bit and after getting a feel for them(so your pretty sure they arent crazy) meet up with them. Just make sure its public. You just have to be careful about who to trust. But you have to do that even when you meet people in person. Hope this helps.

I gave some suggestions for this problem in the thread "How can I meet men outside of college?" at http://www.dearcupid.org/question/how-can-i-meet-men-outside-of-college.html . They apply equally well to guys and girls.
(In all fairness I have to reveal my prejudice, so the advice I gave above may not be very good: I have never lived in New York City, and have no desire to do so. I have been there on vacation, and several business trips.
I lived for 7 seven years in suburban Washington D.C. - not the same as NYC, but it's more like New York than it's like the upper Midwest where I grew up. Only after moving to the D.C. area did I come to realize that the U.S. is NOT a big homogeneous culture. A significant part of your frustration may be due to cross-cultural differences.)
