writes:Is this the best time to tell him if the test comes back positive?It's been about a week..and no period. I took pregnancy test a few days ago and it showed negative. My boyfriend and I are leaving out of town for the weekend. I will take a pregnancy test with me to test again after a week. If it comes back positive I plan on telling him, of course. But should I wait until we come back and then tell him? Or do it before our trip ends and talk about it on a 4-5 hour drive to our destination? I'm not sure how to go about doing this? When is the best time to tell my mate? Thanks in advance!

reader, anonymous, writes (22 May 2009): I kept my worries a secret from my boyfriend for a week and he could tell something was bothering me and knew i hadn't had my period so he found out anyway. He was more annoyed i'd worried myself to death for a week and not confinded in him.. He told me he'd rather know that i was worrying about being pregnant as apposed to 'ím pregnant and im keeping it'. If i was you i'd tell him your concern, gets it off your mind and at least he knows whats going on! I'm sure you wouldnt like him keeping stuff from you!! Good luck :)

 If it was a planned pregnancy then i would tell him as soon as, if it was not i would wait until you got the 4/5 hour drive over with first as unexpected news like this could distract him driving so the timing is crucial here the choice of course is yours but think about that.
