When my boyfriend fights with his ex, he comes to me with it, should I be bothered?

My boyfriend is lovely man who has 2 children. He does everything for his kids, but when him and his ex argue (which isn't often), he always comes running to me - they then make up. He mentions her when he comes to my house. I have told him to stop but he still does it sometimes.
