A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

dear all at cupid,

Ok I'm not sure if this is correct but my friend said to me last nite that she had a word with my ex bf, saying that he's never actually told me that it's over for good, he says we get on better as friends which is true, he's only said that he never goes back to ex's, when my friend told him to just tell me he apparently shrugged his shoulders and turned away.

To be honest I was expecting him to mention it as in we're over for good last nite when he picked me up but he never did, it never even got mentioned, I would go back to him if he asked but I'm not going 2 wait for ever,

What's wrong with him? Please help me.

A female reader, happytochat Australia +, writes (18 January 2009):

Alot of people find it hard to tell soemone its over- its a pretty horrible thing to have to do. So maybe thats why your bf hasnt offically said its over?

I know it hurts more in him not telling you if its over or not directly, as its hard to get closure.

So I think you need to sit down with him and just ask him straight out, where do you stand with him. Hopefully he will give you and honest answer. Stress to him, the important of him being hoenst and tell him to not worry about hurting your feelings by saying its over, if it is over, because its best for you to find out now for sure, not months later.
