 In a casual group setting, shy guys will keep making eye contact and looking away. A more forward one will try to lock eyes with you and smile. Any one who makes an effort to befriend you is likely to have another intesrest in you and may be waiting for you to give a signal that you would be receptive to a pass.

 They want to be around you a lot, they go out of their way to help you or make your life easier, they don't cancel plans with you, they schedule things in advance with you to make sure they can see you because they look forward to it, they remember what you tell them, they ask questions about you, they take an interest in your life, they don't play head games, they look at you when you talk to them and don't act distracted, etc...

 I used to think that there were signs but I have a hard time telling myself. My boy friend of 3 yrs has asked me to marry him and gives me anything I really want material wise, however when he is grumpy I'm usually the first one he gets mad at. And he is always looking at porn. But I do think that if they lose you whether you have to move or have surgery and they fight till the end to get you back or to be with you. I think that those are the signs. If that was any help to you I am glad if not I'm sorry but thats all I can give to you for now.
