Hi can anyone advise please what is the simplest way to get legal separation in Scotland. I have seen some sites but confused as some day best for both partners to go meet a solicitor while some advise its a form D8 that needs to be filled with a petition to be sent to the court with a £340 fees. It's a bit tricky - I want separation at minimum cost and actually haven't been man and wife since many months so this will back date to that date I believe - thanks in advance for your help.
