Hi there, when I am about 19 I have been thinking about emigrating to America and I was just wondering if there is any documentation type of stuff that I would have to fill in?

pebble agony auntOf course there are documents to fill in. You don't just show up and expect to be allowed to stay. If you really want to live there, then research it properly and do it all by the book.

Good luck

If I'm correct, unless either your mother or father is American, you can't simply emigrate there. You'd have to apply for 'Naturalization', meaning you'd have to meet a number of prerequisites. You need to have job prospects/suitible education to get into work etc.

If they let all unsundry in there would be chaos, so there are quite strict rules on immigration.

I think you'd fair well to search these rules and processes up yourself, it's not a case of simply filling out a form. It's a long hauled process.
