writes:what is that average time sex usaully lasts? just wondering cos i've heard 15-25 mins... Me and my bf have been sleeping together for a while but he can never go longer then 5 minutes.  Well this makes me feel quite good about myself...
FIVE MINUTES - jeez guys show some control,
15- 20 mins should be the standard,
If you want him to last more than 5 then get him to stop after 4 minutes for a minute - that will take him down off 'red-alert',
Start up again for another few mins, if he feels nearly cuming, then pause again for a minute,
And so on and so forth...
Also you have to account for how long it has been building up...
If you try have sex again after say 30 mins rest, he will definetely last more than 5 minutes. The second time around he isnt quite so excited and will last longer than usual.
If he hasnt had sex for weeks though, it could last no more than a minute - even i fall for that one if its been that long

reader, anonymous, writes (26 March 2007): this sometimes depends on how starved he is of sex, the more starved and eager one is the quicker he gets done with it...if he takes on more rounds he will last longer with every subsequent round. thats the case with me. but on average, 5-8mins and scary as it may sound, sometimes its as quick as 2mins! i think ur boyfriend is perfectly normal.

 I think the 15-25 minutes refers to all the foreplay as well as the actual penetration stage. I must admit that I've never actually timed how long my guy lasts but I'd guess 5 mins give or take is about right.

 I have read about this a lot, there's plenty of conflicting information but the consensus (and the most reliable sources) point to around 5 minutes being average. So your boyfriend would be very normal. Remember that this is just intercourse, sex is much more than that. The reason I looked at it is I usually go much much longer. You might think that sounds like a good thing but trust me sometimes I (and my girlfriend) wish that it didn't take so long.

Thing is, I don't really care coz if it's longer than 10 minutes, I start to get bored with it..lol (coz I come only when he goes down on me anyway). But, yea, about 5-7 minutes is how long he lasts on average.
