It means that you are in a relationship with a person, but you dont really want to stick to that one person, you want to 'expand your horizons' as they say and see other people. If you know your boyfriend says that hes in an open relationship on facebook then it probably means he doesnt want to just stick with you, he wants to see other people. And if he hasnt talked to you about it, i would either just let him go. Or let him know you are okay with it, if you are. But if you arent, you have to do some serious thinking about if this guy is right for you. And if he is, make sure you tell them that you really want him to be faithful to you.

 If you do not feel comfortable with this you need to speak toyour b/f. Open relationships can be bad as we are human and when jealously sets in, its not healthy.
