What causes me to suffer delusions?

A female , anonymous writes:

When I get drunk I suffer from hallucinations. I imagine I spoke to someone when I didn't, imagine I phoned someone when I didn't, remember breaking a window when I check the next day the window is fine...I can't figure it out. I end up apologising for absolutely nothing, and last time I was under the impression someone had tried to hurt me in the toilets of a pub, but now I'm not even sure if it happened...This doesn't just happen when I drink a lot, it can happen after a glass of wine with me!

I don't understand, is it a chemical reaction in my brain? I don't think I'm schizophrenic but what causes me to suffer from delusions like this when I have only a little amount of alcohol? I know I can only really get these answers from a doctor but has anyone heard of this, or does anyone have any advice or have known someone that this happens to?

I know I will not drink until I have answers, but does anybody have any suggestion as to what is wrong with me?

I would really appriate any suggestions...

thatgothgirl20 agony auntStop drinking, and realize that if you are having these delusions and having trouble realizing whether they were real or not, something really bad can actually happen to you, and you not know if it happened or not. Are you on any medication?
