Question - (20 January 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 20 January 2009)
A age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I wrote to you about my sister before. I saw my sister's (she's 14 and her bf is 17 my age) boyfriend hit her. It all started when he pressured her for sex. She told me about it and I just said break up with him she did it like a week later. Then they got back together a mouths ago. But he kept pressuring her. The other day they had a this huge fight about it (in front of me and our parents weren't home at the time). It get to the point when he was yelling at her and pushing her around a bit. Then before I could do anything he slapped her. I threw him out after that but is it my fault I didn't do anything sooner cause now she has a black eye.

Plus she made me promise not to tell my parents (she told them she walked into a door for how she got the black eye).

A female reader, MT19 United Kingdom +, writes (20 January 2009):

Please, Please, PLease tell your parents, tell his parents tell any adult figure who will listen!!! This guy is Bad and you need to keep your sister away from him. Your sister has basically 2 options with this guy be pressured into sex(which is basically rape) or take a beating for standing her ground.

Tell your parents they can intervene and keep her safe. NO WOMAN SHOULD HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THAT!!!!!!

lovelynightmare agony auntI know this is going to be really hard for you, but you should tell your parents (and certain other adult authorities) anyway. Her well-being is VERY important and the next time it could be something more than a black eye (that age difference is scary enough).

Yeah, she'll be pissed, yell at you first off but when she opens her eyes she'll thank you later.
