I dont think there is a certain age however i dont think people should make big commitments at such a young age. i also think that if you find th eright person for you and fall in love it doesant matter how old you are as long as its serious and you wont get hurt in the process, personally i wouldont want to settle into a long term relationship until im atleast 23 hope this makes some sense to you from jade x

Amethyst agony auntWhen you can honestly say that you are mature enough to make the right decisions, and to take responsibility for any mistakes that could be made. When you know the difference between lust and love, crush and love, and you understand love doesn't always equal sex. When you find yourself attracted to a person because you feel great around them, and not just because everyone thinks they're "hot."

So... it depends on your mental maturity level, not a matter of years. Usually though, it's 20+. But in some cases, like mine, 16+.

tyler's_cowgirl agony auntThere is no sure fire age... everyone is different. There are those who may be ready at 20 and those who will never be ready... that's just the way it is. Your only ready for a lifelong relationship when you have found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. No one can tell you, for examples, "you will find you soulmate at age 25, fall madly in love, get married, have kids and spend the rest of your life together.. happily ever afer!" It will happen when it happens and when it does you will feel it is the right time... =^_^=

Best of Luck, Tyler's_Cowgirl xox

the answer to that varies with everyone. there really is no definite answer, but that person will know when his/her time has come to be committed in a romantic relationship.
