We were supposed to be "exlusive" so why is his ex always around?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Please help all agony aunts! Me and my (I don't know what to call him, so lets say ex) were dating for a while. He hired his ex, as his secretary and since then he's stopped talking to me as much (maybe 5 minutes a day) We were supposed to be 'exclusive' and he decided to go clubbing with his ex, and a friend. So the next day he finally texts, and I ask him how things went at the club. And he told me that his ex got sick in the ride over there so they went back to his place and passed out. I couldn't even respond to that, since he already knows how much she bothers me. I couldn't believe he'd do that to someone whom he claims he loves. I haven't answered his phone calls or texts in the past day, I need some advice where to go from here, I'm very heartbroken.
